Present: Tom Farrell, Dave Mansfield, Carol Leavell, Steve DeDominici, John Hanlon, Bob Croweley and Joe Nugent. Absent was Gerry Coulstring.
Mr. Nugent had all introduce each other. Passed around a sheet for people to sign their names, addresssed and work and ho;m phone numbers. The Committee proceeded to discuss the Americans with Disabilities Act and its impact in general as well as impact on the community. Several of the members con;tributed some very pertinent information in the way of rules, regulations, and interpretive language regarding the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Mr. Nugent held onto most of this information and explained that he would make packets for each of the membes and deliver them within the week. It was explained that Mr. Hanslon and Mr. Crowley were alternate members and culd act in the absence of any particular committee members. If there was a full board of Committee members
present, then their vote would not be counted. Mr. Nugent also explained that the Committee should think of organizing and as they read through the material for the next couple of weeks, to try to establish an agenda. The Town is hoping that at some point in the future the Committee is able to address those capital isues pertaining to the Disabilities Act for all Town Buildings as well as esta blishing Town wide goals and objectives and policies to adopted by the Board of Selectmen in fulfilling the requirements of the law. The Committ4ee agreed to meet on January 25, 1993. All Committee members indicated they were sworn in by the Town Clerk. Voted to adjourn.
